When you want to safeguard your trayed mail during shipment, the AutoSleeve™ protects each mail tray with a corrugated sleeve as part of the processing and sortation process. The CCS patented AutoSleeve™ determines a tray's size, applies the correct sleeve and sends the tray on its way. Visual indicators, diagnostics and online guides simplify system controls and troubleshooting for operator and maintenance personnel. Strategically positioned emergency stops allow quick response to demanding situations.

For operational safety and efficiency, the AutoSleeve™ integrates its portable sleeve supply carts, each adjustable to hold MM, EMM and Half Tray sleeves and utilizing a top-of-stack feed design. A sleeve supply cart is positioned into each of two elevators for simultaneous use, supplying a total of 250 sleeves. To avoid lapses in operation, the AutoSleeve™ warning system alerts operators when a sleeve cart is low or empty. The carts are also designed for tandem towing to/ from the AutoSleeve™. Control Console, Inserter and Elevator comprise the major sections of each AutoSleeve™. The operator, using a friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) on a system computer housed in the Control Console, directs and monitors real time operations. Using a sophisticated sensor configuration, the Inserter identifies tray type and moves the tray into position for the next step in the sleeving operation.

The Elevator, housing the sleeve former vacuum assembly is used to transfer the correct size sleeve from the appropriate supply cart, with each cart holding any one of the sleeve types. The Elevator forms the sleeve and positions it on the conveyor for tray insertion. Once confirmation of an open formed sleeve exists, the Inserter pushes the tray into the sleeve. The sleeved mail tray then exits the AutoSleeve™ and can be optionally strapped to secure the sleeve.
