Learn MoreThe Carter Control Systems' Turntable Diverter sorts items to either two or three designated destinations. Turntable Diverters can operate in a standalone or network operation mode. TPS's (Tray Present Sensors) detect a clear pathway and activate that zone’s powered roller to move items downstream.
Based on information scanned from barcode labels by sensors in previous zones, the Diverter rotates 30° to left or right, directing items to the correct designated downstream conveyor line.
After the item has passed through, the diverter returns to its default position unless the next product’s destination is the same as the previous.
Product feedback signals are provided through control relays along with an error signal used to alert operators of backups and/or obstructions.
