CarterRoll™ Components: Power Turning Posts
The Power Turning Post is a specialized assembly adapted to the midsection of a 30" straight conveyor, and configuration is dependent on the item size and final orientation. As items are moving along the conveyor, photo eyes read the leading and trailing edge of the item to determine if an item needs to be reoriented.
The item is tracked and as it approaches the turning post, the post moves in front of the leading edge of the item causing it to rotate around the post. The Power Turning Post rotates an item's alignment 90° in the direction of travel. Once the item is rotated,
the post returns to the home position.
