| The 24-volt Powered Spiral
Conveyor™ transports items from one level to the next while providing
the ability to accumulate along the entire spiral-carrying surface.
A powered roller in association with idler rollers and an TPS (Tray
Present Sensors) create a zone to effectively transport your item up
or down the spiral. Powered Spiral Conveyors™ offer a variety of installation
setups that allow the entrance and exit of the conveyor to be placed
at any 90 degree angle. Powered Spiral Conveyors are available
in the following configurations: clockwise-up, clockwise-down,
counterclockwise-up, counterclockwise-down. TPS’s are used to detect obstructions in zones that could
lead to backups and subsequently product damage. In the event
of such a situation, each powered roller will automatically cease
function, stopping your product until the zone ahead of it has
been cleared. The standard Powered Spiral Conveyor™
measures 63” in diameter and can be built up to 120” in
diameter for transportation of larger packages or increased accumulation
area.
