| The High Speed Tray Sorter (HSTS) is
driven by powered roller conveyors. The conveyors are used for feed,
induction, and recirculation. A mini-camera two-scanner setup, with
an optional omni-directional third, offers the option of scanning
barcodes from front and rear of your items. The third scanner, located
above the line, is designed for D&R reads. Once scanned and moved
downstream, your items are diverted at 90° angles by the pop-up
bi-directional diverter. The pop-up bi-directional diverters are positioned
along a powered split-belt sortation-conveyor that will transport
your items to either the appropriate runout lane or to the overhead
recirculation system.
An inline overhead recirculation system, connected to the conveyor
through a Powered Spiral Conveyor™, is standard. Items whose runout lane has
reached its capacity or have tag errors are redirected to the recirculation
line until that lane has been unloaded.
The HSTS can process items up to 70lbs at a rate of 230 FPM with
a total of 95 possible runout lanes. Two configurations are currently offered:
single-sided and double-sided. The single-sided diverts items to
runout lanes located on the left-only or right-only. The double-sided
setup can divert items to either left or right runout lanes.
